Happy Friday Everyone!
Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for stopping byToday is my day to post at Eyelet Outlet and Brads.

Here is my Design Team project...
I have seen lots of flamingo projects during the past week, so I wanted to join the fun.

I chose a MFT frame that would fit three flamingo brads from Eyelet Outlet and Brads.

I matched the sentiment by using the MFT Tickled Pink stamp set.

I used the following products from Eyelet Outlet and Brads shop.

Color Challenge at Paper Play Sketches

Hello Everyone!
The countdown to summer vacation has begun ~ today is the last full Wednesday of school. We only have till next Friday, but the last three days are Early Release. We start practice for the award ceremeony today, grades end Friday and then LOTS of activities before my group will be middle schoolers. They are definitely ready for the next level!

Today is also Paper Play Sketches Day. This week it is a color challenge.

 This Week's Challenge...

Here is my Design Team project...
I need some thank you cards for school since I want to tell each of my students "thank you" for being a great class and always working so hard. They have showered me with wonderful gifts this year, so I want to give them something to show my appreciation.

First, I created the background using Tim Holtz distress ink ~ Faded Jeans. I think it looks like the walls in the picture. Then I cut the abstract heart and stitched rectangle frame, which are both from My Favorite Things with my Cuttlebug. I cut the heart four times in the different colors and added the pieces separately to create the mosaic look. I cut thanks three times and adhered them on top of each other to add a bit of dimension.

The stamped sentiment is from Jaded Blossom ~ Kind Thanks set.
Now, I hope you will  join us this week for the Paper Play Sketches challenge. Be sure to visit the other Design Team members to see how they used the colors.

Georgiana

Green Glitter Brads with Carnations

Happy Friday Everyone!
Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for stopping by.  Not only are there two weeks of school left, but today is my day to post at Eyelet Outlet and Brads.

Here is my Design Team project...
I found these stamps at the Rubbernecker Stamps booth at the Scrapbook Expo last weekend and fell in love with the design and variety of flowers. The couple that own the shop were so sweet and helpful that I had to get a big stack to try. My daughter has been going crazy using them too while I am still at school and making her boyfriend a bunch. : )

This flower arrangements is Carnations ~ #918. I used Ken Oliver's Colorburst  (Lemon Yellow and Pthalo Green) for the flower's color. Then the top layer is Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear embossing powder. I used MFT Blueprint 20 for the stitched frame and green glitter brads by Eyelet Outlet and Brads. As I was rolling it through the Cuttlebug I forgot the brads were there and they were flattened. I love the look of them in the center of the flowers. The brads in the upper right corner were added after and have the raised glitter look.

Theses flowers can be any color you want so you can mix and match your brads (or enamel dots if you prefer).

I used the following product from Eyelet Outlet and Brads shop.

Anything Goes Challenge at Miss Kate Cuttables

Hello Everyone,
Welcome to my new crafty friends!
The new challenge at Miss Kate Cuttables starts, and remember there is a free file every day! Hopefully you will be able to join us during the next two weeks with your own creation.

This Week's Challenge...
~ Anything Goes ~

Here is my Design Team project...
My son graduated from University of Central Florida last week. He didn't want to go to the graduation ceremony since he completed the courses on-line(policital science) and didn't know anyone, but we are still proud that he completed the program. He is actually talking about getting his Masters in Business or applying to law school now.

I used the Graduation Day file from Miss Kate Cuttables.

Hope you will join us at Miss Kate Cuttables for the "Anything Goes" challenge. The other design team members were quite creative this month! Be sure to check out ALL the variety!

Almost the Last Day Of School

Hello all my crafty friends!
Today is an exciting day...I am heading to the Scrapbook Expo in Orlando to do some shopping, take a couple classes, and learn some new techniques at the Make-n-Take sessions.

Today I am combining my Miss Kate Cuttables and Eyelet Outlet and Brads design team posts. There are only three weeks of school left, so I thought I better start planning some end of the year projects.

The treat tag is by Jaded Blossom, the school title is from Miss Kate Cuttables, and both the books brad and blue enamel dots are by Eyelet Outlet and Brads.
Can't wait to share about the Scrapbook Expo. Be sure to stop by later for an update!

Get creative this weekend,
Georgiana

Oh Happy Day!

Welcome back to Carson's Creations and thanks for stopping by! We are done with testing and tomorrow my daughter and I are heading to the Orlando Scrapbook Expo. Woohoo!

Today, I am sharing If You Give a Crafter a Cookie's new challenge. These are quite creative challenges...you have a picture of a cookie (yes, a cookie) and you use it as inspiration to create your project....a card, a layout, a tag, a gift bag...anything!

This Week's Challenge...

Here is my Design Team project...
I made a cute tag that I was thinking about adding to a plastic cup.

The tag is by Jaded Blossom which was cut with my Cuttlebug. I used Distress Inks (Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass) to blend the background. The smiling sun, cloud, and flower are by Miss Kate Cuttables and I adjusted the size and then cut them with my Cameo. The stamped sentiment is by My Craft Spot.
Hope you will join us at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie this week for our "Photo Inspirationchallenge. The other design team members all interpreted the picture differently, so go check it out!

If you like what you see, please become a follower. Leave me your blog name and I will stop by to see what you have been making!

Paper Play Sketches Color Challenge ~ Good Luck!

Happy Wednesday!
I am counting down to the Orlando Scrapbook Expo this Friday! I am super excited and my daughter even decided to come with me to try the Make N Takes and help me pick out some crafting goodies.

Today is our LAST day of standardized testing for this school year. My students said the Science Session 1 was easy yesterday. I hope that means they learned a lot this year and knew all the material.

It is also Paper Play Sketches Day. This week it is a color challenge. I have decided to continue trying to use the provided colors and it is actually getting easier.

This Week's Challenge...

Here is my Design Team project...
I made treats for my two team mates.

The Scallop Trapezoid Handle bag is by SVG Cutting Files. The flower is from an assorted set at Miss Kate Cuttables.

The mini tag and stamped sentiment is by My Craft Spot. The yellow ribbon and purple twine was in my stash.
Now, I hope you will  join us this week for the Paper Play Sketches challenge. Be sure to visit the other Design Team members to see how they used the colors.

May Sketch at Die Cuttin' Diva ~ Watercolor Flowers for You

Hello Crafty Friends,
It's Tuesday, which is our first of two FCAT Science days. I am being quite optimistic that my students do well since we have covered so much Science this year. Results will not be in for a month or longer, so the wait is going to be agonizing.

It is also Die Cuttin' Diva challenge day.

This Week's Challenge...
~ May Sketch ~
You can rotate or flip just as long as the layout is noticeable.

Here is my Design Team project...
I bought this Stampendous stamp this past weekend, so I could work on some watercoloring. First I stamped the image on watercolor paper and then used my Gansai Tambi paints. I cut the centered image with a MFT die.

I added a bit of Wink of Stella glitter to the roses.

The stamped sentiment is by Cardz TV.
I hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "May Sketchchallenge. Be sure to check out the other design team projects.
