What a Deer!

Hello Crafty Friends,

After watching the Law and Order: SUV marathon ALL yesterday  (those law shows sure are addicting) and not accomplishing much of anything, I decided I would create a card so I could join a few challenges.

My project for today...
An A2 card for any occasion focusing on a darling deer.

I used the following sketch from Pals Paper Arts.

The baby deer is from Miss Kate Cuttables. It was a freebie, but it is now in the 50 cent section. Lots of layers, but I didn't mind since I used my favorite color...brown. I think the teal bow "pops".

I used a stamp from Scrappy Moms...2 Thumbs Up! set
Other Materials:
DCWV paper ~ Linen Closet stack
browns, teal, and cream card stock
Brown ink (edges)
Potting Soil ink (sentiment) by Ranger
Latte Skittle by Carri

Welcome back for another 3 Girl JAM creation. Today brings a new challenge for the month of July. You are definitely going to want to join us this month!

The Challenge...
Food with Ribbon
Everyone loves some type of food. It could be American, Italian, Chinese, or maybe Thai Cuisine. My weakness is sweets...I sure do like desserts. I am not too picky either, but I prefer chocolate! How about you? What do like the best?
KaDoodle Bug Designs...Yummy Treats file
This is the Halloween Harvest crinkle ribbon from the Seasons Bundle. I used micro Glue Dots to adhere my ribbon for the bunched effect. The small bow was created using a bow maker (The 3 Girl JAM shop has one available.). Be sure to use GC10 for a discount if you are interested in getting your own.

The edges of the cake was inked with brown, then the sentiment was stamped.
Other Materials:
red, brown, cream, green, and pink card stock
pink pattern paper from scrap box
Cardz TV stamp
"potting soil" brown ink by Ranger
Skittles by Carri

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today is my day to share at 3 Girl JAM and I am using a versatile product that comes in a variety of colors...Jute String.

Here is my Design Team Project...
I created a small treat bag (Silhouette On-line #45733) perfect for all those guest that come over on Independence Day. I included Twizzlers that I cut to bite size. The 3" x 3" plastic bag fits inside nicely.

I used 3 Girl JAM's Navy Jute String to tie the bag closed.

Currently on sale for $4.97...be sure to use GC10 for a discount!

A tag (from Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge) stamped with Happy July 4th (from the Celebrate Freedom set available at Craftin' Desert Divas) hangs from the front flap. I added a couple red stars and blue liquid pearls.
Other Challenge:

Here is the 3D treat bag by Lori Whitlock. Super easy to cut and assemble!

And now for my project...
I am using the Holly Days Puns and even though it is summer the thought of hot cocoa is still delicious, especially with LOTS of marshmallows.

These mugs from My Scrap Chick can be used for any type of gift. Just change the colors and/or contents and they can be extremely versatile. You could use them for coffee with the k-cups or even tea.

I stuffed my baggies with marshmallows and tied them with crinkle ribbon and twine. The 2 1/2" tag from Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge was attached to each. I found that tiny Hershey Kiss SVG file by searching on Google. I used silver card stock and crumbled it to make it look like the foil.

Winners will be picked from a different blog each day, so the more you comment the more chances you have to win.

Happy Tuesday...it is Die Cuttin' Diva challenge day.

This Week's Challenge...
'Tis Thee Country
I live in the United States and our country's colors are red, white, and blue. We celebrate Independence Day July 4th of every year.

Here is my Design Team project...
I decided to make a tag for a candy jar and this firework was just "popping" with excitement to be on display.

This cute firework can be found at Miss Kate Cuttables. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the file. The stars I cut with the Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge at 1" - 1/4". The sentiment is from Craftin' Desert Diva stamps ~ Celebrate Freedom.
Red, white, and blue crinkle ribbon, red and white twines, and  a few star buttons finish off the 4" tag.
Other Materials:
red, white, blue, and black card stock
pattern paper is from scrap pile
black ink

Celebrate Freedom with Explosions of Fun

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by!  Today is my day to share a project using any stamp from Craftin' Desert Diva's new stamp line. Be sure to check out the wide variety of sentiments available! Tara has 12 sets with more coming soon!

Here is my Design Team project...
I tried a new technique using distressed inks and a fireworks embossing folder to make the background "pop". The stamp says it all..it was definitely fun to try! The 4th of July wagon was one of the first freebies I obtained, but I just used it for the first time. Doesn't it match this stamp set perfectly!

The clear sentiment was stamped with a dark blue ink.

Red, white, and blue sequins were scattered as they exploded with fun!

Here is the set, Celebrate Freedom, one more time. Get yours today!

Other Materials:
red, white, blue, black, and brown card stock
red and blue distressed ink by Tim Holtz
Fireworks embossing folder by Darice
red, white, and blue sequins
Glitz glitter glue

Happy Father's Day

Hello Crafty Friends,

Hope you have been enjoying your weekend and you have plans to celebrate that special man in your life today...for today is Father's Day! I am not sure what our plans are yet, but whatever my hubby wants to do is how we will spend our day.

The idea of Father's Day was met with criticism and jokes for not being "manly" enough. However, with Presidents Woodrow Wilson and Calvin Coolidge's combined previous efforts, President Lyndon B. Johnson was prompted to make an official proclamation in 1966 that designated the third Sunday in June as a national holiday, and in 1972, President Richard Nixon signed the law that made it permanent.

Here is a surprise card I made for my hubby when he and my daughter went out last night to a concert on The Square.

We let him pick out a new grill for Father's Day, so I thought this easel card from My Scrap Chick was a perfect match. It is the BBQ pocket and it is only $1 until tomorrow.

If you decide to make this card...be sure to bend the accessories slighty to make them look more realistic. You could even add a gift card in the pocket...I didn't since we will take him out to eat to wherever he chooses. It is usually a steakhouse...either Cody's or Logan's. I like both, so either place is fine with me!

I used my Cricut to cut out the sentiment at 1 1/2". I found the saying on the Holiday Cakes cartridge (p. 72).
Other Materials:
white, green, blue, silver, brown, and grey cardstock
pattern paper from scrap box
blue buttons
red ribbon

Challenges:

Enjoy Father's Day!

3 Girl JAM Daily Post ~ Tie Dye Ribbon

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today is my 3 Girl JAM day and I am using one of the newest products available...tie dye ribbon in pink. The soft blend of colors allow you to use it on all your creations. Plus it come in various other colors!

Here is my Design Team project...
I created a treat box using a plain boutique box from DeNami Designs. I picked up these 1x3x3 boxes at the Scrapbook Expo last year, but haven't used them since I have been using my zipped baggies. I decided to try fancying up the box, so it wouldn't be plain. What do  you think?

I cut the tag at 2 1/4" using Plantin Schoolbook (shadow feature too) and then added a flower sticker by SandyLion. I have so many stickers that even if I used one each day for the next 6 months I probably would still have plenty left. Liquid pearls in Pink and Key Lime were carefully dropped on each side.

The bow was create with 3 Girl JAM ribbon and some Pink Limeade Trendy Twine.

Now for the box...I used the Swirl embossing folder and ran it through the Cuttlebug and viola! No more plain plastic box! You could use any type of embossing folder for the theme you need. I have a few more of these boutique boxes, so will be trying some other patterns!

Here are the tie dye bundles available in the 3 Girl JAM shop. Stop by and gets yours today! The bundle includes 4 yards of each color for $4.97. Use GC10 for a discount.

Don't forget the monthly challenge...
