Summer Challenge at 3 Girl JAM

Hello Crafty Friends (and Ribbon Lovers),

Welcome back for another 3 Girl JAM creation. Today brings a new challenge for the month of June. You are definitely going to want to join us this month!

The Challenge...
Summer Fun with Ribbon

When I think of summer...watermelon comes to mind. It is refreshing on a hot day and you can't get it during any other season. Now...add your watermelon with a cute little mouse and you get a perfect picnic.

I used the Summer Lovin' stamp set from Craftin' Desert Diva. I then added the green and pink Christmas Candy ribbon from the Season's Bundle. The blend of colors matches perfectly!

I inked the edges of the card and then pieces of the mouse in pink ink.
Other Materials:
pink, grey, white, red, and green paper
Little Scraps of Heaven mouse with watermelon svg file
Watermelon skittles by Carri
black ink
pink ink

Join us at 3 Girl JAM with your newest project.

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Guest Designer

Hello Crafty Friends,

It's a Happy Friday!
It is the final Friday that I have school since next Thursday is teacher's last day. Not a lot planned except yearbook signing, award assembly, a party at the park, and a little cleaning.

Today is also a great day because I am Guest Designer for Pretty Papers, Pretty Ribbons. Lisa's files are so fun and easy to use. I am sharing two of them today.

Here are my projects...
I made this set since my daughter absolutely loves pineapples (I mentioned this before...she was hooked on the show Psych.) and her AP World History teacher even gave her a nickname. I thought she might want to give him this set on the last day of school.
I love the chalkboard technique and enjoy using it, especially since my allergies prevent me from using real chalk. I would be sneezing way too much from the dust, so this  is perfect. The stamped sentiment is from Jaded Blossom.
This file is only 99 cents and can either be used with a stamped sentiment or with a die cut.

Project 2...a pineapple treat box!

A pineapple treat box file for 99 cents.

Other Materials:
DCWV papers ~ Lemon Flower Stack
Craftin' Desert Diva stamp
black ink
yellow and white twine

Hope you will stop by Pretty Papers, Pretty Ribbons

For the Boys at Die Cuttin' Diva

Welcome back for another Die Cuttin' Diva Tuesday.

This Week's Challenge...
For the Boys

Here is my Design Team project...
I have recently become crazy about pirates  (thanks to Captain Hook on Once Upon a Time ~ ooo la la!), so this ship was perfect for any little man.

I found this ship at the Silhouette On-line Store and the file was created by Stinkin' Cute Paper Piecings. The card base is from the Campin' Critters Cricut cartridge...lots of others shapes that are fun. I use the sign feature on the bottom of the page (cut the base at 4 1/2" and each layer 1/4" smaller). This particular shape can be found on page 40, but I also like p. 21,  p. 35 and p. 51.

I added Glossy Accents to the red flags and HB to the lookout basket. Can you hear "Ahoy Matey!"...that means a Happy Birthday to you!
Other Materials:
black, brown, red, silver and white card stock
black and white polka dot paper
polka dot ribbon

Other Challenges:
Allsorts ~ Birthday
Hiding in My Craft Room ~ Boys
My Sheri Crafts ~ Masculine

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "For the Boys" Challenge. Can't wait to see what you create. Check out the other Design Team projects while there...we are treating our boys spectacularly this week!

Fun Folds Linky Party at Craftin' Desert Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today brings a new Linky Party at Craftin' Desert Divas hosted by Tara.

Party Theme is...Fun Folds
How many different ways do you know how to fold a card base? I typically stick with the same type, BUT I know there are TONS of different folds and they are not difficult either. Here is your chance to challenge yourself and explore a few different ways. I even found a great resource that has tutorials. Click here for Card Making Magic.

Here is my project...
I created a center step card as a thank you gift for end of the year. Our last day of school is next Wednesday and I know both the students and I are looking forward to summer vacation. The weather is already hot, we have a field trip to Epcot tomorrow, and then a few Early Dismissals. We are almost done!
I used the card base file from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon and cut the file on my Cameo. I did make it smaller than the original and I really like this size since it fits in an A2 envelope now.
Side view of fold
The apple is from My Scrap Chick and I applied the chalkboard technique to keep it school oriented. I used an old white stamp pad and it a bit of smudging to get the effect.
Hope you will join us for this crafty party at Craftin' Desert Divas! The more you link up, the better chance you have to win! Visit Craftin' Desert Divas for all the rules and to play along.

Sponsors for this Linky Party...
Digital Delight by Loubylou: $5 G.C.
Miriams Crafting Supplies: $5 Credit (not on ATG or Shipping)
Lucy Kelleher "Close to My Heart": $10 G.C. (Only in U.S.)

A Birthday Monkey at Die Cuttin' Diva

Welcome back for another Die Cuttin' Diva Tuesday.

This Week's Challenge...
Birthday

Here is my Design Team project...
My husband's best friend from high school has a son who just turned one this past weekend and they are having a BIG party this upcoming weekend to celebrate. I made a card to match the birthday invitation.

The monkey is from Miss Kate Cuttables. Be sure to check out the site each and every day for the freebie. This monkey was one.

This stamp is from Cardz TV...Make a Wish stamp set. I am so glad I found it in my collection. I used a Spellbinders Ribbon Banner.

This is a 5" X 5" square card base.
Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Birthday" Challenge. Can't wait to see what you create. Check out the other Design Team projects while there...the variety of ways to celebrate a birthday is endless!

Baby Girl Blocks

Happy Saturday!

I am enjoying the day while trying to get caught up with Design Team projects. I can't wait to share what I created. I have to take a few pictures still and
then load them for cropping. In the meantime I am going to share this baby shower card I created for a co-worker.

This file came from KaDoodle Bug, so it is super easy to cut and assemble. It is also available in the boy format.

I selected the pink and lime green papers first since those are the baby colors, I embossed the pattern paper with a paisley folder, added the baby's monogram (I used Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge for the initials), and then added sparkly green gems.

Love the green bows and pacifier (although my kids never used a pacifier).
Challenges:

Hope you enjoy your weekend. Soon I will need to take a break from crafting to do laundry (if only we didn't need to wear clothes, huh?) and grade some essays (not the fun part of teaching!)

Georgiana

Preserves For You

Happy Friday Everyone!

Today is my 3 Girl JAM day and I am sharing the new and beautiful flower bundle ribbon. I just love these dainty flowers on the trim.

Here is my Design Team project...
I created a mason jar shape card that I cut on my Cameo. The svg file is from My Scrap Chick and it contains three different styles for only $1. This is my favorite.
I have always adored mason jars, but never have seemed to find the right pattern until now. I want to make a bunch of these jars. The ribbon which comes in three different colors (green, pink, and purple) will be perfect on all of them!
Other Materials:
white, silver, and yellow card stock
pattern paper from scrap box
Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge ~ tag cut at 1 1/4"
Craftin Desert Diva stamp ~ Simply Said set
black ink ~ Versafine
yellow and white twine
yellow glitter glue

Be sure to get your Flower Bundle ribbon today (use GC10 for a discount).

Hope you will join the monthly 3 Girl Jam Challenge...Anything Goes with Ribbon. The prize is a $15 gift certificate to the  3 Girl JAM store

Simply Said Daily Post at Craftin' Desert Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back and thanks for stopping by again! Today is my day to share a fabulous stamp from Craftin' Desert Diva's new stamp line.

Here is my Design Team project...
I never seem to have enough birthday cards and I am always running late (I was even born two weeks late and I don't think it has ever caught up!). This sentiment is perfect for those late cards.

I used the Simply Said stamp set. This is a great set because it has so many different occasions. With the variety you really don't need another set....well, until the next stamp release which is next week! : )

The Spellbinders are easy to layer.

Lace adds a touch of elegance.
Materials:
DCWV paper ~ Cherry Limeade Stack
various Spellbinders
white lace
green flowers
pink gems

Georgiana
