Make It Girly at Die Cuttin' Divas

 Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back for another  Tuesday at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This Week's Challenge...
Make It Girly

Here is my Design Team project...
My daughter loves to paint her nails. I think she has every color of nail polish.
This file is from My Scrap Chick. It is only $1.00 for a pack of three. The difference is the size of the lids (small, medium, or large).
I decorated the removable lids with ribbon, flowers, gems, and a mini tag.

A nail polish will fit inside each container if you want to give them as gifts.
Other Materials:
12 X 12 card stock
Lovebug Rumple ribbon ~ Winter Grunge
pink pearls
My Craft Spot stamp
purple or dusk blue ink

Hope you will join us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week for our "Girly" Challenge. Can't wait to see what you create. Check out the other Design Team projects while there...they are quite girly.

Stay Creative,

Mother's Day Linky Party at Craftin' Desert Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today brings a new Linky Party at Craftin' Desert Divas hosted by Tara.

Party Theme is...Mother's Day
Since my Mom passed away in 2010 unexpectedly at an early age, I make all my projects for my Mother-in-Law. She is the nicest person I have ever met. We call her the "Leave it to Beaver" mom since she is just like June Cleaver.

Here is my project...
I made this 3-D apron box for her since she likes to cook.
The box was easy to cut and assemble...I found it on the Silhouette On-line Store.
I added a MOM tag with white twine and a Craftin' Desert Diva Simply Said XOXO stamp from the newest release.
The box will hold quite a few A2 cards with envelopes (I put 5 in my box easily) or a stack of recipe cards.
Hope you will join us for this crafty party at Craftin' Desert Divas! The more you link up, the better chance you have to win! Visit Craftin' Desert Divas for all the rules and to play along.

Sponsors for this Linky Party...
CDD Shop ~ 1 stamp set
Lori Whitlock ~ $15 gift cert to SVG store
The Cutting Cafe ~ 3 Files of Winner's Choice

Be sure to check out the other Design Team projects while there.

And now for my project...
I made a thank you card since you can never have too many...in fact I am going to need quite a few since the end of the school is approaching quickly.
I used this sketch for my layout.

I selected the hot air balloon because they lift you up...just like when someone does something nice for you. It typically lifts up your spirits. Yes...another play on words/images.

This Simply Said stamp coordinates with the sketch perfectly and I was oh so lucky to have that country heart button in my stash.
Other Materials:
My Mind's Eye paper ~ Wild Asparagus pad
Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge ~ oblong frame (p. 23) cut at 3 3/4"
black pearls
black ink

Next up on the Line-up is the amazing Emily.

Winners will be picked from a different blog each day, so the more you comment the more chances you have to win.

Birthdays in our Office

Hello Crafty Friends,

What a week it has been! FCAT is FINALLY over! Now we have to wait about 5 - 6 weeks to get the scores. Not sure why it takes so long to get all the results since so much is done on the computer now-a-days, but we shall wait (not necessarily patiently).

This past week we also had two birthdays in our front office...the Assistant Principal's birthday and our Data Clerk. The Data Clerk turned 50 and the office was decorated with a wheelchair, a cane, "You are older than"...posters, and everyone wore black. I made her a special treat...

This sketch is from Crazy 4 Challenges.

I found the 3D coffin treat box at the Silhouette On-line store. I changed the font from RIP to her age. I added two mini candy bars which fit perfectly in the container. I chose a black and white gingham ribbon to coordinate the pieces.

Our AP took the day off, so she didn't get any surprises.

I used this sketch from Just Add Ink

Other Materials:
Various pattern papers
purple cardstock
black gems
flowers (purple, teal, and black/white)
self adhesive pearls

Be sure to stop by this weekend for the Craftin' Desert Diva Release Blog Hop. New stamps are being shared and you are going to enjoy them!

Just a close-up of the cutest smiling bear!

Happy Easter Everyone

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you have enjoyed your Easter. One final Easter card to share. The background paper is from the Hippy Chic pad (cute name, huh?)

This little fellow is a freebie from Little Scraps of Heaven. All his edges were inked in yellow, and he needed a matching bow tie.
Challenges:

I worked on these bunny belly boxes (17 of them) last night and today. I am going to bring them to school tomorrow.  A day late, but I think the students will still like them.

Two more days of FCAT (Math portion) and then 6 weeks of school left. Time is flying by. I think the students are getting excited about the idea of going to middle school.

Be sure to come back again. Lots to projects to be shared this week...a new challenge at Die Cuttin' Diva on Tuesday, a Sneak Peek for Craftin' Desert Divas on Wednesday, and I am always looking for the chance to enter some challenges.

Stay Creative,
Georgiana

A Sweet Spring Dress at Die Cuttin' Divas

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back for this terrific Tuesday at Die Cuttin' Divas.

This Week's Challenge...
Tic Tac Toe Grid

Here is my Design Team project...
I used the far right vertical line...shaped card, 3 pattern papers, and ribbon or twine.

I found this sweet looking dress at the Silhouette On-Line store. I bought the file a couple weeks ago when it was 50% off. The weather is perfect now for wearing this style.

I used soft colors from Martha Stewart (green, yellow, and pink), embellished with pink and green pearls, and then added a double twine bow to the clothes hanger.

The inside is layered with yellow polka dot paper and white card stock.

Here is the grid so you can join us at Die Cuttin Divas this week...

Little Chick Treat Box for the Craftin' Desert Diva Party

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today brings a new Linky Party at Craftin' Desert Diva hosted by Tara.

Crafty Party Theme...
Color/Photo Inspiration
Aren't these fabulous colors!

Here is my project...
I made a jelly bean container. Of course, you could add any type of treat you wanted. I found this 3-D box at the Silhouette On-Line Store.

The cut-out window was covered with a clear transparency sheet and the Brachs gummi
beans were enclosed in a zipped 3" X 4" bag to keep them fresh. The cute little chick is a freebie at Little Scraps of Heaven. YES, it is still a freebie today! I inked all his edges with a yellow ink.

Pink, orange, and yellow crinkle ribbon makes a beautiful bow to tie the box closed, a few dainty roses for the center, and lastly a tag (which was the cut out window). I also added a few layered pieces to tie all the colors together and a Happy Easter stamp to that tag.
Materials:
K&Company Specialty Paper ~ Sparkly Sweet
yellow, orange, black, and white card stock
3D treat box by Silhouette On-Line store
Little Chick ~ Little Scrap of Heaven
clear transparency
yellow, pink, and orange crinkle ribbon
Happy Easter stamp
yellow and black ink
pink and orange miniature flowers

Hope you will join us for this crafty party at Craftin' Desert Divas! The more you link up, the better chance you have to win! Visit Craftin' Desert Divas for all the rules and to play along.
