You're Sweet as Sugar

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today is my day at Exploring Cricut.
I just bought this Cricut lite cartridge, Savory, from someone selling all their Cricut goods and boy was I happy. There have been a few cartridges that I have wanted and this was one. Lucky for me she sold it for only $10!
I used the following sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. This was last week's, but they have a new one every Tuesday.
I have seen many jars lately and I wanted to make one too. It is not the same one I had in mind, but I like the shape of this one. I added glitter glue to sweeten up the word sugar along with some pink liquid pearls.

Materials:
My Mind's Eye paper
blue and white card stock
Savory Cricut lite cartridge ~ sugar jar and label
Spellbinders ~ Lacey Circles
pink liquid pearls
pink hemp cord
glitter glue
Fiskars stamp
brown ink

Other Challenges:
Tuesday Throwdown ~ Glitz and Glimmer

Be sure to scroll down if you missed the announcement of the 3 Year Blogoversary winners.

Hope you enjoy your weekend and find some time to craft! Be sure to come back on Monday for the new Exploring Cricut challenge.

Let Freedom Ring at Little Scrap Pieces and 3 Year Blogoversary Winners

Hello Crafty Friends,

Sorry to be running a little late. It has been a busy week! I had AIMS Math training two days, my son's vehicle was in the shop, my daughter had Driver's Ed and her road test, and I am trying to walk 3 miles everyday. Next week should be a calm week where I will have more time to craft. Yeah...looking forward to that!

Today brings a new challenge at Little Scrap Pieces.

The Challenge...Let Freedom Ring
Do you ever go looking for paper and can not find what you are looking for? I wanted a classic patriotic paper and didn't like anything I had; therefore, I had to purchase some. I was looking for an Americana theme, but it was difficult to find a pad. I ended up buying individual sheets.

Here is my Design Team project...
I cut two of the bells and adhered them in the center. I added cream ribbon to tie them together at the top.
I attached the bells with an action wobble, so they would appear to be ringing.
Brrring! Brrrring!
Materials:
Paper Studio paper (Hobby Lobby)
red, blue, and cream card stock
Sweater Weather Cricut cartridge
Independence Day Cricut cartridge
cream ribbon
red and blue pearls
action wobble

Other Challenges:

Now for the announcement of the winners from my 3 Year Blogoversary...

 Mini Magnolia stamp set

stamp set

 $15 gift certificate

dew drops

3 crafting goodies from me

Congratulations!
Please send me an e-mail (coachfans at cox dot net) with your contact information, so I can forward it to the correct sponsor.

Thank you again for celebrating 3 years with me!

Hope you will join us at Little Scrap Pieces for our "Let Freedom Ring" challenge. Be sure to stop by and see the Design Team projects.

Happy Birthday with 3 Embellishments

Hello Crafty Friends,

Welcome back and thank you for visiting!

Today brings a new challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas, so here is another opportunity for you to share your newest creation.

The Challenge...Birthday with 3 Embellishments
3 is still the number I keep thinking of after having a FABULOUS blogoversary celebration this past weekend. Just a reminder...the winners will be announced on Thursday.

Here is my Design Team project...
I have been using pink more often on my projects. Years ago it use to be my favorite color (probably in the 80's when Pretty in Pink was a hit).  Now-a-days I love brown, but those 2 colors do look awesome together.
I started with this sketch from Seize the Birthday, but rotated the center square to make a rhombus.

I used 3 pink gems as my embellishments. The vase and flowers have multiple layers starting with pale green, light pink, then dark pink. I mixed the petal colors to create a variety.
Materials:
Kathy Davis paper
pink and white card stock
Kate's ABCs ~ flowers with vase (p. 54) cut at 2 1/2"
Trendy Twine
pink gems
Happy Birthday stamp
pink ink

Other Challenges:

Can't wait to see what you share at Die Cuttin' Diva this week! The Design Team projects are filled with lots of birthday wishes!

Stay Creative,
Georgiana

Thank you for stopping by this past weekend for my 3 Year Blogovserary. What a great celebration we had! If you didn't have time to be a part of the celebration, just scroll down (It's not too late!). I heard from many people that thought they were in school again trying to pass a test and find the triplets. How fun was that?!?!
Today, I am posting as a guest designer for Craft It Up & Link It Up Linky Party hosted by Tara of Craftin Desert Divas. Every other Monday will mark the beginning of a new semi-weekly linky party and you could win fabulous prizes!

This linky party theme is "On the Farm". The sponsors are BugBites and Pinque Peacock. The more you link up, the better chance you have to win.  Visit Craftin Desert Divas for all the rules and to play along.

Here is what I created....
A set of 3.5" x 3.5" mini note cards with a matching bag.
When I was growing up, one of my uncles had a farm and I can remember some of the animals and running around in the pastures. Some of my favorite animals have been used to create these minis.
You haven't lived the farm life until you milk a cow!
How about chicken pecking at you!
Time to feed the pigs some slosh or play in the mud!
All the minis fit into this bag.
Materials:
Country Life Cricut cartridge
* hogs (p. 40) cut at 2"
*sheep ( p. 42) cut at 2"

Summer Luvin' at Little Scrap Pieces and a Winner

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today brings a new challenge at Little Scrap Pieces.

The Challenge...Summer Luvin'
The other day we went shopping and my hubby told me I was looking quite pale, and I needed to get a tan. Since it was Father's Day I had to be nice and not say anything negative, so I decided to plan a trip to the beach instead. My daughter only has a few more days of Driver's Ed and then we are going to Flagler Beach for a day.

Here is my Design Team project...
I am definitely going to bring my beach chair and relax as I watch the waves roll in. Sometimes we even see a few dolphins leaping in the distance.
I am imagining me sitting in the chair.  :)
I inked all the sand and added a shade umbrella.
Materials:
brown and kraft card stock
turquoise double sided paper ~ scrap box
Life is a Beach Cricut cartridge ~ chair and umbrella cut at 3"
purple ribbon
purple gems
brown ink

Mother of the Groom and 3 Year Blogoversary Coming Soon!

Hello Crafty Friends,

I hope you are having a great day. I have been staying busy. I went walking at the trails again this morning (another 3 miles). Then I began working on a project.  Do you ever have so much to do that you are not sure where to start? That is how it seems today...I have so many goals I am not sure which one I want to do first. Eventually they will all need to be done!

Here is a card I made yesterday for my walking friend.
No, her son is not getting married but someone else in her family is. I really get stumped on wedding cards, but tried. I gave it to her last night before walking and she loved it. Not sure if she was being nice, or if she really liked it.

I used the sketch from Come and Get It.

I sure do enjoy making these pins. If you are interested in any, please let me know. I would be happy to make you some! I love to mix the different types of beads and colors!
I thought the front was a bit bland, so I added the white crochet flowers with silver heart brad.
Materials:
K&Company ~ Elegance paper
Sweethearts Cricut cartridge ~ dove (p. 56) cut at 2"
glitter glue
handmade stick pins
silver ribbon
white crochet flowers
silver heart brad
silver liquid pearls
computer generated sentiment
Spellbinders

Other Challenges:

Look what is coming soon!
My 3 Year blogoversary!
I sure hope you will stop by!
Creative crafters! Fabulous sponsors!

Until tomorrow for Little Scrap Pieces challenge,
Georgiana
